1988 – De Triomfboog is oorspronkelijk gemaakt voor een tentoonstelling in de buitenruimte van Assen om te dienen als voetgangers doorgang. Wanneer men de poort, die door een ijzeren frame gevormd wordt, passeert, blaast het geheel zich op tot een 5 meter hoge triomfboog. Aan de binnenkant van de poort zijn koperplaatjes gemonteerd, die gaan trillen als de lucht daarlangs naar buiten komt. Er ontstaan klanken, er is een vermenging van de accoorden B en E in hele lage bas tonen. In 1989 stond de triomfboog in de binnen situatie van the Ferens Art Gallery in Hull (GB) en paste perfect in de hal. In dit museum had Nico Parlevliet een solo tentoonstelling op uitnodiging van Time Based Arts Hull onder de titel: Noises of Gravity. In 1991 stond de boog op een uiterwaarde van de Waal bij Varik tijdens de geluidskunst manifestatie Klanken aan de Dijk.
De Triomfboog
1988 – The Triumphal Arch was originally made for an exhibition in the outdoor area of Assen to serve as a pedestrian passage. When one passes through the gate, which is formed by an iron frame, the whole thing blows up to a 5 meter high triumphal arch. Copper plates are mounted on the inside of the gate, which vibrate when the air comes out through it. Sounds are created, there is a mixture of the chords B and E in very low bass tones. In 1989 the triumphal arch was placed in the indoor situation of the Ferens Art Gallery in Hull (GB) and fitted perfectly in the hall. In this museum Nico Parlevliet had a solo exhibition at the invitation of Time Based Arts Hull under the title: Noises of Gravity. In 1991 the arch stood on a floodplain of the Waal near Varik during the sound art manifestation Klanken aan de Dijk.
