2015 – An infectious picture and reading book and at the same time it provides extensive information about the burial mound. Artist Nico Parlevliet made the drawings and daughter archaeologist Masja Parlevliet explains the archaeological background.
David Fontijn, professor of late prehistory, Faculty of Archeology in Leiden, says about this book:
“In Swoertje, science has been translated to children from toddlerhood. How I enjoyed that! Children love archaeological topics, but there are plenty of books about mummies and pyramids. This book shows that there is also a lot to tell about the archeology around the corner, such as the many burial mounds in the Netherlands. ”
The book presentation took place on Animal Day, October 4, 2015, in the CODA museum, Apeldoorn.
