Gerestaureerd in Juni 2023 – De geluidssculptuur heeft als inspiratiebron een abstract schilderij, getiteld Satztechnik II, van Ernst Wilhelm Nay (1902-1968), dat in zijn vorm geassocieerd kan worden met ritme. Omdat het kunstwerk oorspronkelijk gemaakt is om in een desolaat gebied te functioneren kwam Parlevliet op het idee om de benodigde energie direct uit de natuur te halen. Zo vormen zonnecelen een wezenlijk onderdeel van het beeld. Bij nacht en zwaar bewolkt weer zal het beeld niet bewegen, bij weinig zon gaat het langzaam werken en bij meer zon laat hij diverse ritmes horen. Zo ontstaat er een zichtbare relatie tussen beeld en zon, tussen kunst en natuur, tussen vorm en geluid. Locatie: Beeldentuin Achter de Westduinen, Ouddorp, Nederland.

Restored in June 2023 – The sound sculpture is inspired by an abstract painting entitled Satztechnik II by Ernst Wilhelm Nay (1902-1968), which in its form can be associated with rhythm. Because the artwork was originally made to function in a desolate area, Parlevliet came up with the idea of obtaining the required energy directly from nature. Solar cells therefore form an essential part of the image. At night and heavily cloudy weather the image does not move, with little sun it works slowly and with more sun it shows different rhythms. This creates a visible relationship between image and sun, between art and nature, between form and sound. Location: Sculpture Garden Achter de Westduinen, Ouddorp, The Netherlands.
